United States Postal Service Changes
The United States Postal Service has faced many struggles over the past years. Today, the U.S. Postal Service announced how it plans to overcome some of their problems with changes in service.
Millions of United States Postal customers will be affected by the new changes to the United States mail system. These changes are due to hit in the Spring of 2012. These changes are due to the struggles and problems the United States Postal Service has incurred for years.
United States Postal Service Changes Up-To-The-Minute
Come next Spring your first class letter will take a bit longer to get where it is going. The United States Postal Service plans to shut down over half of it mail processing centers. That’s 252 U.S. Postal Service centers. With half the workforce that means that your first class letter will not be deliver the next day. This is just one of the ways the Postal System plans to save 2 billion dollars next year, and 20 billion dollars by 2015.
The American public has turned to the Internet more and more these days to do things they use to use the postal office for; like sending greeting cards, mailing a letter, and paying bills. Over the past years, the United States Postal Service has seen a steady drop in demand for its services. The Post Office will lose over 14 billion dollars this year alone.
Another change in discussion is to reduce mail delivery from 5 days a week to a lower number. They are also planning to cut health care coverage of the remaining workforce. Along with closing over half of its mail processing centers, they are also in discussions to close over 3700 local post offices. The affect to the customers of the mail system is bad enough, but these changes also mean over 100,000 postal employees without work.

Microsoft Office Plug In Titled Google Cloud Connect
Microsoft Office has a free plugin called Google Cloud Connect which lets you share Microsoft Office documents simultaneously with others. Use the Google Cloud Connect plugin with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Not only can you share Microsoft Office documents with others, you can also use the Google Cloud Connect plugin to sync all your devices. Every time you place a document in the Google Cloud the file is backed up and given a unique url. Use the document’s unique web address to share that file with others (anywhere, anytime, on any device that runs Microsoft office).
Introducing Google Cloud Connect For Microsoft Office (Video)
Sync Up With Google Connect
When you save a document in one of the above Microsoft Office application just click sync. The document is automatically updated to the cloud. All you need to use this free plugin is a Google Account.
Google Connect allows others to view, download, and edit documents in the cloud. More than one person can work on the file at the same time. The next time the document is updated in the cloud all edits are synced. If a section of the document has overlapping the data, the cloud will ask which edit you would like to keep.
Google Cloud Connect works with version 2003, 2007, and 2010.

Skype Facebook Linked
You don’t have to leave Facebook to launch a call on Skype. The two social networking services have linked. The new interface for Facebook and Skype integration was released on 11/18/2011. MAC users can download Skype 5.4 and Window users can download Skype 5.7. Both downloads are still in Beta and can be found on the Skype website. You must download one of the above before placing a video call.
How It Works — Making a Skype Video Call From Facebook
Before you can begin using the new service you must link your Skype account with your Facebook account. Once you have made this link you can select any contact on Facebook and video chat away. To get started quickly go to facebook.com/videocalling and following the “Get Started” instructions. After you have completed the start-up steps and new icon titled “Call” should appear next to the message icon.
Mac users have cool new features like video rendering. Window users have a new group-sharing screen, but requires a premium subscription with Skype.
