- You will have to do the following steps the same day you got infected
- Log-Off your computer and select restart
- Restart in safe-mode by hitting F8 upon start-up
- Go to the start menu –> select run –> type “C:\windows\system32″ sort files by date
- Find today’s date or the date you were infected and delect all files with that date (make sure you can see your hidden files)
- Go to start menu –> select accessories –> select clean disk
- Go to start menu –> select control panel –> select internet tools and delete all history and temporary internet files
- Go to accessories –> select system tools –> select restore
- Restore to the first date you were not infected
- Once the restore process is completed and you system has restarted –> Your Done! Your system could be back to normal
- To double check that your system is rid of the trojan-spy.win32.greenscreen go to the start menu –> select run –> type “taskmgr.exe” if the window appear your trojan infected is gone
