Post Office Closing All Across The U.S.
If you have noticed, Postal stamps have been going up little by little. Is it because the Post Office is in financial trouble? According to reports, the U.S Postal Service is nearly $7 billion off the mark. In recent reports 25 post office will close in Manhattan, 11 post office will close in Queens and that’s just in New York.
With the innovation of new technology it’s no wonder why the U.S. Postal Service is having financial problems. Most people are emailing, texting, facebook(ing), and Tweeting each other. We no longer need the pony express to stay in connection with each other. To add to the Post Office troubles, think about how many people use online banking. Now, people don’t even need the Post Office to pay our bills.
The official word on the streets is that the U.S Postal Service will be either closing or consolidating post offices thought the United States by the end of the year (2009).
